Dear Fell Families,
On April 8th, provided a clear sky, we will be able to experience a solar eclipse at 90% totality here at Fell Charter. This exciting opportunity should be a fantastic learning experience for all of our grades.
I would like to offer a special after-school event for those who are interested in staying and watching the eclipse from the school yard. Families will be invited and students who stay after for the event will need to be picked up by 4:00PM. Tutoring students will still have the regular pick-up time of 4:30.
Before the eclipse, Middle school will work on three different manners in which to view the eclipse safely. Then, we will use those materials on the day of the eclipse to watch it together. I applied for and received a grant for each student in the school to receive eclipse glasses. This will give the students who are unable to stay a chance to watch from home.
Please respond to this email if you will be joining us after-school until 4pm on April 8th or if your learner will be staying and will be picked up by 4PM from the school field. Cars will line up like at normal dismissal. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
