Weekly Warrior 10/13/26

⚔️ Weekly Warrior

Dear Fell Families,

Happy Tuesday, Warriors! We have a few important reminders, upcoming events, and dates to share with our families. Please take a moment to review this week’s updates!

📅 Parent-Teacher Conferences — Thursday, October 15

A reminder that Thursday, October 15, is a half day for students, with dismissal at 11:00 AM. Breakfast will not be served.

Please remember to book your appointment with your child’s teacher if you haven’t already. You should have received an email with a link to schedule your conference.

  • PE and Music teachers will not have separate booking pages, but they will be available onsite during conferences for parents who would like to speak with them.
  • If you would prefer a Google Meet or telephone conference at another time, please contact your child’s teacher directly to make arrangements.

📚 Title I Parent Meeting — October 15

Our annual Title I Parent Meeting will take place on Thursday, October 15, during Parent-Teacher Conferences.

This will be a drop-in event in the cafeteria, where families can stop by to learn more about Fell Charter School’s Title I programming and how Title I supports our students. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to visit!

🥕 Children’s Produce Market & Drive-Thru Pantry

Mark your calendars! Our next Children’s Produce Market and Drive-Thru Pantry is scheduled for Thursday, November 12.

More information about pickup times and details will be shared as the date approaches. Please keep an eye on the Weekly Warrior and Remind for updates!

🎒 Backpack Program Reminders

Here are the upcoming dates for our Backpack Program:

  • October Backpack Snacks: Sent home Friday, October 23
  • November Backpacks: Sent home Friday, November 20

We are grateful to be able to offer these resources to support our Fell families!

🏫 School Attendance Reminder

Regular school attendance is important for student learning and success. Please review pages 11–13 of the Student and Family Handbook for Fell’s full attendance policy.

Whenever possible, we strongly encourage families to schedule student appointments outside of school hours. If an appointment during the school day is unavoidable, please try to schedule it early or late in the day so your child can attend part of the school day rather than missing the entire day.

Students should be in school whenever they are well enough to attend. Thank you for helping us make the most of every learning day!

🧸 Reminder: Toys Are Not Permitted at School

Please remember that toys are not permitted at school. This includes squishy toys, stuffed animals, and other toys brought from home.

Balls and games intended for recess are permitted, but they may only be used during recess and should remain put away during all other parts of the school day.

Thank you for helping us keep classrooms focused on learning and ensuring that personal toys do not become a distraction.

🦷 Dental Services Coming to Fell — November 3

A school dentist will be visiting Fell on Tuesday, November 3, and all students are invited to participate!

This is a convenient opportunity to take care of your child’s dental health and fulfill the dental exam requirement for students in Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 7th grade.

Most insurance plans are accepted, and some students may qualify for assistance. For more information and to register, visit www.myschooldentist.com.

Please note: If your child has had a dental visit within six months before November 3, your insurance most likely will not cover this visit.

🍭 Middle School Fundraiser

Our Middle School students are selling fundraising items during lunch throughout October to help fund upcoming field trips!

Items include:

  • Ring Pops — $0.50 each
  • Smencils — $1 each
  • Book Buddy Slap Bracelets — $10 each

Book Buddy Slap Bracelets are available in very limited quantities, and all items are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you for supporting our Middle School students and their upcoming adventures!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Fell Charter School. We appreciate our families and all you do to help our Warriors learn, grow, and succeed!

Go Warriors!
