K-5 General Education Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students, focusing on their academic and social development. This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to nurturing the potential of each child. The teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress while accommodating diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

– Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
– Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
– Assess and evaluate student progress through standardized testing and individualized assessments.
– Provide tutoring and support to students who require additional assistance in their learning.
– Foster relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
– Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education and IEPs.
– Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding progress.

Qualifications

– Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
– Certification: Valid Pennsylvania state teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
– Clearances: Current background checks, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearances as required by PA law.
