💙 Fell Friday, September 11:

This week’s Fell Friday theme is Favorite Color! Students and staff are invited to wear their favorite color on Friday, September 11, to show their Fell Charter School PRIDE!

Speaking of PRIDE, each month we are focusing on one of our five PRIDE Expectations and helping our students put that expectation into practice every day.

This month, we are focusing on P for Personal Responsibility.

One way we are encouraging our students to demonstrate personal responsibility is by making sure they are prepared to go home at the end of each school day. Students should be checking their backpacks and making sure they have everything they need before they leave school.

Students are also learning to take greater responsibility for:

  • Writing down assignments in their planners
  • Remembering to take home their folders each night
  • Bringing home any papers or materials that need to be shared with families
  • Returning completed work or other materials to their teachers

These may seem like small responsibilities, but they are important steps in helping our students become increasingly independent and responsible learners!

🎊 Community Events:

We love being able to connect with and support our local community! Here are a couple of upcoming community events we wanted to share with our Fell families.

Important Family Information:

We also have two important documents to share with families this week. Please take a few minutes to review the information below and keep it for your records.

1. Family Emergency Procedures. Fell Charter School maintains an Emergency Operations Plan designed to help protect students, staff, and visitors during natural disasters, technological emergencies, fires, security incidents, and other emergencies. The plan is reviewed annually and emergency procedures are practiced throughout the school year.

2. Our annual Title I Parent Right-to-Know notification. This notice explains your rights under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), including your right to request information about teacher and paraprofessional qualifications and student assessments.

Please keep these documents for your records. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for being such an important part of the Fell Charter School community. We are looking forward to another wonderful week of learning, growing, and showing our Fell PRIDE!
