Fell Charter School

Weekly Warrior, 05/14/24

Happy Tuesday!  Once again we have a busy week, so here goes!

1.  Tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. our 8th grade is hosting their LAST Warrior Night Performance.  Everyone is invited to see their interpretation of Holocaust Survivors and Liberators and this dark time period in our history.  They have prepared a play that is emotionally engaging, and (in my opinion) stellar.  They have prepared a way to demonstrate their depth of knowledge in this area.   I hope you will join us.

2.  On this Saturday we have our School Musical at 6:00 p.m.  EVERYONE is invited to attend this performance.  Our students are ready!  Mrs. Talarico has them dancing, singing and moving the stage props in record time.  We look forward to seeing you all here.

3.  I am excited to tell you that two of our students will be traveling with Mrs. Gaylets to Penn State University to present their already-award winning projects at the PA Junior Academy of Science!  We are thrilled that our students, under the direction of Mrs.Gaylets, are ready to go!

4.  May 24th is our annual Pat Shimo Field Day!  The students always love this day; it is a great way for them to work together in teams, have fun and honor the memory of our beloved Pat Shimo! We will have an 11:00 dismissal that day as well.

5.  Please remember that our current dress code is clear that shorts (for boys and girls) should be one inch from the knee and no shorter.  Additionally if girls are wearing tops with spaghetti straps, a sweater must be worn.

6.  We are closed on May 27th in honor of Memorial Day.

7.  Mrs. Jennifer Repenning, one of  parents here at Fell has taken on a new challenge!  Jennifer and her husband Pastor Repenning of Carbondale, are ready to start a summer program for children based on cool jungle journeys and answering some deep questions through jungle explorations.  Jennifer is leading this program and invites Fell Families to join.  I have listed her email here: (jenngrud0313@gmail.com) so that you can reach out to her and learnmore about this endearing, and free program for our kids!

8.  June 4th is our last day that lunch will be served. June 5th at 9:00 a.m. is Kindergarten Graduation and an 11:00 dismissal.  June 6th is our 8th grade graduation at 6:00 p.m. and also an 11:00 dismissal.  June 7th is our last day of this school year, and we have an 11:00 dismissal that day as well.

Be well, Miss Walsh
