I hope you are all doing well and enjoying time together as a family.
I have some welcome news/updates about getting back to the “way we were”, now that we are Post COVID restrictions.
I would like to welcome back:
*Student Council for grades K-8, including elections for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
*Warrior Nights that are more interactive with our audiences.
*Spelling/Math Bees for our students to showcase their “smarts”:) in a healthy in-house competition.
*Marywood Math Contest on their campus: a great opportunity for our older students to see/tour a College Campus.
*Character Education Council: (K-8 ) opportunities for our students to discuss productive relationships in the school.
*Character Education Assemblies for our students who demonstrate good choices and kindness here at school to be honored in front of the whole school.
*Big Friend-Little Friend: an opportunity for our older students to be partnered up with our little folks. The teachers plan an activity together for the two classes and we cultivate some great friendships.
*Guest presenters in the classroom; tying outside work to real life, and to what we are learning in the classroom.
*Science Fair (6/7/8 will present, 4 and 5 will prepare classroom lessons). And we will invite the community in to see the projects.
*Fall and Spring After School Tutoring.
We will continue (as we have been doing) to send our students to PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science). We ALWAYS take one of the top three prizes:)..we are so proud of our students!
We have always created marvelous opportunities for our students and we are thrilled to be back doing it all over again!
