Fell Charter School

Weekly Warrior, 10/05/21

Happy Tuesday!🌞

I want to thank all the parents/guardians who signed up for the in-school GinkGo Bioworks COVID Testing. As Mrs. Urzen, R.N., noted, this is just another layer in our ongoing effort to keep students, staff and families protected from the spread of COVID.  😷 If you would still like to sign up, please be sure to forward the forms to Mrs. Urzen at BUrzen@fellcharter.com.

Secondly, thank you to everyone for the on-gong donations of disinfecting wipes...we go through those like crazy!  They are very much appreciated.👏👍🤗

A reminder for the Fell Fridays: the 8th is wear Blue and Grey day, the 15th is celebrate the Forest Day and the 22nd is Wear Orange Day.🎒

Our tentative plan for the 29th is: students in all grades may come to school dressed in a SCHOOL APPROPRIATE costume. Please remember that we have little 5 and 6 year old students and this is their FIRST time in school at Halloween; therefore gore and blood should not be a focus. NO matter what the costume, all students will need to wear their usual, mandated face masks/covering that day.  No hair dyes.  No overly-large costumes that flow into another students’ space. No accessories like swords, wands, anything that has to be added or carried during the day.  Appropriate shoes are necessary.  We will not be asking for any food donations again this year.  Any foods will be provided by our school through the cafeteria.

If the weather permits, we will start our parade at 9:00 a.m.  We come out the front door, go left and make 3 loops around the parking lot.  ALL visitors MUST park behind the orange cones.  Parking is, as you know very limited.   Last year our driveway was blocked and this made it impossible for an emergency vehicle to get onto the property; this cannot happen this year.  I know that we don’t have enough room for everyoneto park so please plan ahead.
Lastly, please continue to do all that you have been doing to keep us all safe.  We have been able to be in school for 21 days as of today…that is ALL due to everyone staying vigilant and adhering to our Health & Safety Plan.  Our plan is working, thank you!  Gratefully (as of today) numbers in some counties in which our families reside are leveling off and/or declining in other areas. Let’s keep the focus on doing what we can to keep our students in school and safe.

Be well, Miss Walsh
