Cold or Allergy?
Colds are infections caused by a virus that can be spread by touch or through the air. Seasonal allergy is caused by immune system reaction to pollens as if they were harmful.
Symptoms can be similar: stuffy/runny nose, sneezing, scratchy throat, headache.
Other symptoms are not:
Allergy: red, itchy eyes, clear/thin drainage
Cold: Fever, sore throat, cough, mucous drainage

Why Water & Not Sports Drinks?
- No calories or sugar
- Decreases risk of tooth decay
- Decreases risk of obesity
- Aids digestion & kidney function
- Prevents constipation
- Regulates body temperature
- Prevents headache
Don’t like water – flavor it up by infusing it with fruit or herbs such as, berries, watermelon, lemon, kiwi rosemary, mint or even cucumber!

Easter Theme
Egg Hunt: hide lots of plastic eggs filled with fitness challenge notes such as do push-ups, plank, star jumps, sit ups, run to a specified destination, jump as high as you can & touch floor between each jump, etc.
Egg & Spoon Race: balance an egg on a spoon with 1 hand while racing to a finish line. For older kids hold with non-dominant hand and make distance longer. May do as a team relay.
Mind Matters: Test Anxiety
When is it abnormal?
Significant Performance Drop: underperform despite knowing the material, often due to “blanking out” or going blank during the exam.
Physical Symptoms/Panic: severe nausea, vomiting, dizziness, light-headedness, rapid heart rate, or intense sweating.
Avoidance: procrastinate, don’t study, completely avoid.
