Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we enter the winter season, I wanted to remind you of the FCS Policy for snow/virtual days.
On days when the weather is uncooperative, the school may decide to hold a Virtual Instruction Day. This means that students should sign in to their Google Classroom on a device they have at home (laptop, desktop, phone, iPad).
If your child does NOT have access to any of these devices, please contact Mr. Casey.
In order to prepare for potential virtual learning days, please review the following reminders to ensure your child’s success:
Attendance Requirements
A student will be marked present if:
- They are signed in to the class.
- Their camera is on, and their face is in FULL view.
- They actively use their microphone to participate.
- They are dressed appropriately, just as they would be for school (no robes or pajamas).
- They are seated in a neat workspace, not lying in bed.
Important Notes
- Kindergarten students will not participate virtually. Mrs. Levandowski will provide further information regarding their schedule/expectations.
- Virtual days follow a 2-hour delay schedule, with students logging on at 9:45 AM.
Stay Connected with REMIND
We use the REMIND app to communicate any schedule changes (closures, virtual days, delays, etc.). If you haven’t signed up or need your classroom code, please email Mrs. Swartzfager for assistance.
I am attaching the Virtual Instruction Day Class schedule below for your reference.
