Good Afternoon Fell Community:
Happy first day of Autumn!
Thank you to all families who attended Back to School Night last week. We are off to a great start!
As usual, we have lots happening at School:
-Last week, students took their first I-Ready benchmark tests for ELA and Math. Students performed well! Nice job, students!
–I would like to introduce Mrs. Jillian Linnehan-Reed as the newest employee at Fell Charter! Mrs. Reed will take over the role of Curriculum Coordinator. She joins our staff from Virginia and has much experience working with teachers and implementing strategies to assist students. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Reed!
–On September 30th, the school will host Picture Day. See the attachment below for guidelines. Please do not send in any money for picture day.

– The school will be offering an after-school Art Club for students in grades 3-8 who are interested on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 PM. Mrs. Timlin will be moderating the club. Any student/family who would like to participate can get a permission slip from Mrs. Timlin or email her directly. No transportation will be provided for students who participate (all students must have their own ride home.) Please see the attached flyer.

–On October 17th from 3:30-5:30, Fell will host a Basketball Clinic for interested students in grades 1-8. The cost is $10.00 per student (pizza will be served). Please see Mr. Sabolick or Mrs. Swartzfager for a permission slip. No transportation will be provided for students who participate (All students must have their own ride home.)
-The 5th graders have been learning about Ancient Egypt and the mummification process. Take a look at the photo below, taken in class this week!

-Finally, On October 8th at 5 PM, Mr. Casey will host a Title 1 meeting for any parents/families interested in learning about how the school uses its Title 1 allocation (Federal money). This is an optional meeting and will take place at the school. Please email Mr. Casey if you would like to attend.
