Dear Fell Families: Please see the below message from Mrs. Timlin about meal access and options for the summer months.
Fell Charter School is an NSLP/SBP (National School Lunch Program/School Breakfast Program) school and CEP (Community Eligibility Program) participant. Our CEP status means all students have access to free breakfast and lunch!
Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), or SUN Bucks, is a program to provide $40 per summer month per child to families with eligible school-age children to buy groceries.
However, not all CEP students automatically receive SUN Bucks. Only students who are streamlined certified through SNAP or Medicaid or live in the same household economic unit as a certified student are automatically eligible for SUN Bucks at CEP schools.
Families whose children are NOT streamline certified, but attended an NSLP/SBP school, may apply for SUN Bucks. Eligibility is based on household income (185% or less of the federal poverty level) Families whose children are not automatically eligible may apply for SUN Bucks on the DHS SUN Bucks webpage: dhs.pa.gov/sunbucks.
