Happy Tuesday!
I have attached a picture of our Red Ticket Award Winners for the month of September. We held our Awards Assembly on Friday. The students who earned Red Tickets the month of September were honored! There is plenty of kindness and goodness going on here at Fell!
Picture Day has been reset for Tuesday, October 17th.
Warrior Night for grades 8, 6 and 2 is Wednesday, the 18th of October at 6:00 p.m. We will be starting in the classrooms at 6:00 p.m. sharp so please be here and ready to start moving classroom to classroom. Comfy shoes are a good idea!
I thought I’d once again, share a few reminders about our Halloween parade and costumes for the 31st:Our tentative plan for the 31st is: students in all grades may come to school dressed in a SCHOOL APPROPRIATE costume. Please remember that we have little 5 and 6 year old students and this is their FIRST time in school at Halloween; therefore gore and blood should not be a focus. No hair dyes. No overly-large costumes that flow into another students’ space. No accessories like swords, or weapons. Appropriate shoes are necessary. We will not be asking for any food donations again this year. Any foods will be provided by our school through the cafeteria. If you are planning on attending, please stand along the sidewalk so that you can see the entire parade. I also ask, for safety reasons, that guests outside, not wear face coverings/masks; we would like to see all our guests.
If the weather permits, we will start our parade at 9:00 a.m. We come out the front door, go left and make 3 loops around the parking lot. ALL visitors MUST park behind the orange cones. Parking is, as you know very limited. The entrance way/exit way to our driveway must remain open for emergency vehicles to get onto the property, if necessary. I know that we don’t have enough room for everyoneto park so please plan ahead, carpooling is a great idea!
If the weather does not cooperate, we will hold our parade in our gym for just our school students and staff, but we will post the parade to our website.
Two reminders regarding poor weather ( we are getting closer!)…Please put a plan in place NOW for early dismissals. Our students need to know what to do when they get off the bus, van or other earlier than their usual day….plan now and review it a few times before the snow flies. Please remember that we will not be getting messages to students during early dismissals, we need to keep the lines open for an emergency and to set up transportation.
Remember too, that when we call an early dismissal, a delay of school, virtual day or cancelation of school, we post that information to the REMIND app (please download the app), we send out a note on the Weekly Warrior address list and we run the information on the local TV stations (16WNEP, 22WYOU and 28WBRE).
I hope you all enjoyed a long weekend of fun and family!
Be well, Miss Walsh
