Dear Families,
Our annual school-wide Halloween Parade is just about a week away, and we’re excited to celebrate with all of you on October 31st! Here are a few important reminders about the parade and guidelines for costumes:
Below is the tentative plan for Thursday, 10/31.
–Students in all grades are welcome to come to school dressed in school-appropriate costumes; students are not under any obligation to wear a costume or participate in the parade if they are uncomfortable or it is against the wishes of their family.
– Keep in mind that we have young students (5 and 6-year-olds) experiencing their first Halloween in school, so gore and blood MUST be avoided. Any student whose costume is deemed inappropriate will be asked to change out of it.
– No hair dyes or overly-large costumes that might invade another student’s space.
– No accessories like swords or weapons are allowed. No toy weapons of any kind are permitted.
– Please ensure that students wear appropriate shoes for safety.
– We will not be asking for any food donations this year. All foods will be provided through the school cafeteria.
If you’re planning to attend, please stand along the sidewalk so you can see the entire parade.
As safety is a primary concern, we ask that guests do not wear face coverings/masks.
Parade Timing and Parking Information:– The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m.– The parade route will start at the front door of the school, where students will go left and make three loops around the parking lot.– All visitors MUST park behind the orange cones. Parking is limited, so please plan ahead and consider carpooling!
– Please note that the entrance and exit to our driveway must remain clear for emergency vehicles if necessary.-School dismissal is 11 AM on 10/31. Students will return into the building after the parade to eat lunch before dismissal.
We’re looking forward to a fun and safe celebration!
Finally, please see information regarding exciting and seasonal events upcoming!
Go Warriors!
Mr. Casey
